Buyer Qualification Statuses

Last updated: June 17, 2026

Overview

After creating a buyer and initiating the Buyer Qualification, you can monitor their approval status directly in the Capchase app. This article explains what each status means and what action, if any, is required from you.

Where to Find the Buyer's Status

  1. Open the Capchase app and navigate to the Buyers section.

  2. Search for the buyer’s name, then click it to open their profile.

  3. The qualification status is displayed prominently near the top of the buyer's profile page, in the dedicated qualification section.

What Each Status Means

What to Do

Qualifying

Qualification is still running

Wait. It should be finished in 1 or two minutes

Approved

The buyer has passed the qualification and is eligible for financing.

You are ready to create and send a payment link.

Manual Review

The buyer needs manual review by Capchase, usually completed within minutes during business hours.

If any action is required, you will receive a message from our team.

Input Required

This status typically occurs when there is no match found with the legal name and/or address provided

You can update the company details directly in the App and run the qualification again.

Financial Review

Sometimes the available information isn’t enough, and to approve a buyer, we may need more details about the buyer's financial health.

Capchase will provide you with a secure link for the buyer to submit additional financial documents. See more details here.

Rejected

The buyer did not meet the current eligibility criteria.

The buyer doesn’t match Capchase’s minimum required details. Check for possible rejection reasons in this article.

Expired

The qualification is older than 90 days and is no longer valid.

No new orders until the buyer is re-qualified. Refresh their qualification before sharing a new payment link.

Additional Details on the Approved Status

Buyers are approved under two conditions:

  • Approved Limit (TCV): The maximum financing amount available for this buyer. Your deal value must not exceed this limit.

  • Expiry Date: Approval is valid for 90 days from the qualification date. Make sure your payment link is completed before this date.

Please note that if the payment link has already been signed by the buyer before the qualification expires, the deal will not be affected. The signed agreement takes precedence.

The main reason a buyer's eligibility assessment takes longer or is rejected is an incorrect legal name or address. These must be the incorporated name and address (which is not always the physical location or headquarters address). See Buyer Qualification Tips for more help on this.‍

What Happens Next

Once your buyer shows as Approved, you're ready to create a payment link.
