Creating orders and sharing payment links

Last updated: May 11, 2026

Overview

A payment link is the core transaction in Capchase — it's what you send to your buyer so they can review the financing terms, sign the agreement, and set up their payment method. This article walks through the full creation process step by step.

Before You Start

Make sure the following are in place before creating a payment link:

  • The buyer exists in the Capchase app and has an Approved status.

  • The deal value is within the buyer's approved credit limit.

  • You know the payment method, term length, and frequency you want to offer the buyer.

  • You have any required documents ready to attach (e.g., quote, vendor invoice), if applicable.

Creating a new order using a document

You can use quotes, purchase orders (P.O.), or invoices to easily create orders. To do it, simply go to the App > Orders, and click on '+New Order'.

  1. Once the document is uploaded, set up the frequency of the payments, the starting date, and the total duration of the terms

  2. Add the emails that should receive the updates on this deal

  3. Review if all the details are correct, and create the order

  4. Share the payment link created with the buyer for completion of the order

Creating a new order manually

To create a payment manually, click Buyers, then select the desired buyer, or click Orders, then click 'New order'.

Pro tip: Start on the buyer's page if you want to use the price calculator before sharing the order with the buyer.

  1. Add the price, subsidy, and spiff (optional), total term, and frequency of the payments

  2. Click 'Create order' and add the Service name and description (the descriptions are optional)

  3. Add any emails that should receive notifications about this deal

  4. Review the details, confirm, and create the order

  5. Share the payment link with the buyer
